Australia Day 2009

Oh yeah - I love home!

Today was Jake’s first Australia Day Parade and Fireworks in Mornington! He happily watched all of the people, bands and colourful things walk down the main street but when we got to the park to listen to the band and have some dinner before the fireworks he wasn’t so happy. I don’t think I have heard him scream so much but as soon as the music started and his belly was full he was happy again! (Phew – I thought for a minute we were going to have to go home!)

Jake had a quick nap between the band and the fireworks he woke just as we got down the beach to get our prime position to watch the fireworks. He was then quite happy snuggling up with mummy and daddy and watched the fireworks… he was mesmorised by them. It was after 10pm by the time we got him home – he went straight to bed and slept through the night – what a good boy!

Our first trip to the Farm and Shepparton!

On the 10th Jan we made our first treck up to the Farm to see Nanna and Pa and then to Shepparton to catch up with our favourite neighbours and great friends Donna, Allan, Layla, Sam and their new gorgeous little girl Coco who is about 3 weeks younger than Jake!

Jake was great - slept all the way their but wasn't all that interested in sleeping when we got there which you can see by the picture below of him sleeping when we went to meet Coco and see Donna and Al! Nanna had a special room set up for Jake which was nice and they got to spend some time with him whilst Craig and I went to see Mark and Kim's new house they are building in Cobram.

It was a great weekend - a lot hotter up there than in Melbourne but was great to get up there.
